The University awarded a contract for assessment, remediation and abatement services.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which
the need for services to protect or further University interests was immediate and use of other competitive source selection procedures under the Illinois Procurement Code could not have been accomplished without significant risk of causing disadvantages to the University.
The additional scope of services were needed for Phase 2 of an ongoing, current construction project on the campus, due to an unknown construction condition. Services are needed immediately as these specifications were not known, and therefore not included in the initial contract award & project scope.
