Project Description
This request is for the submission of qualifications from architecture design firms to assess and design systems for specific projects, during the contract period on an "as needed basis". Firms may select from various areas of specialization, as defined in the the specifications for potential award.

Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Thursday October 25, 2012:

All firms must submit at minimum:
- a Capital Development Board (CDB) 255 standard form listing only relevant experience;
- a Capital Development Board (CDB) letter proving prequalification of the submitting office for the area of interest by the firm (as applicable);
- GSU requires CDB prequalified firms (as applicable);
- only firms with State of Illinois or Illinois Higher Education experience (similar work) will be considered; and
- applicable projects must be itemized and references must be provided for each.
In all cases where CDB offers prequalification, in the disciplines identified, GSU will require CDB prequalification.
The types of disciplines requiring CDB prequalification include: new construction, rehabilitation, office building, housing, parks/recreational facilities and roofing as defined by the Capital Development Board of Illinois.
Other areas of interest where CDB does not offer a specific prequalification may include: space planning, graphic design, general architectural consulting and landscape architectural services.
If a firm is submitting, where CDB does not offer a prequalification, please complete the CDB form 255 (for submission to GSU with your qualifications), as the requested information will be needed for evaluation and review of those areas as well.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Submitted 2 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
