Comments:
The lowest bidder by price was IIT Research Institute.The low bid amount was not taken because this is a property lease required by the GSU contract with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services(IDCFS), as approved by the GSU Board of Trustees for office and training space as required under the GSU-DCFS contract. This lease will run from 7/1/05 to 6/30/06.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University wishes to lease a non-renewable expandable space property located at 10 West 35th Street, Chicago, or alternate near location containing 22,260 sq feet of leasable space for a period of July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006. This property will be used for support of the university training contract with the Department of Children & Family Services, and required offices.
General specifications: This non-renewable space lease requires immediate occupancy on July 1, 2005 on three separate floors. Space must be continuous and expandible as needed. Access to public transportation is required.

Parking costs for employees and trainees are to be disclosed within your proposal.

There is to be a cost, as a separate line item to re-key each floor. A sample lease contract must be submitted with your proposal. The office of the building must also include defined procedures for work orders. GSU is the tenant of this lease. DCFS is the funding source and occupant for a one year non-renewable period.
