The Board of Trustees of Governors State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the asphalt, paving, and parking lot renovations project.

GSU has multiple needs related to roads, sidewalks and parking lots on campus. This work includes, but is not limited to: asphalt work, seal coating, pin striping, etc.

Specifications and maps will be available only at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

GSU will award this project on a section-by section award to one vendor, however, not all sections may be awarded, dependent on budget, at the discretion of the university.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Friday, May 14, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. in the purchasing office. All potential bidders must be represented at this meeting and tour.
