Project Description
The NSF Laboratories project at GSU is a 5,200 SF renovation within Governors State University that will provide new biology research laboratories due to a federally funded research grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project includes 11 new research laboratories as well as a common preparation lab.

MBE/FBE Contracting/subcontracting/supplier goals apply to this project.

The design of the NSF Laboratories utilizes current benchmarks for state-of-the-art research laboratory design, and incorporates entirely new mechanical, electrical, fire protection and security systems. The laboratories are organized in a private corner of F-Wing away from the teaching laboratories.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for this project on August 25, 2011. Vendors are required to call Lisa at 708-235-7443 to register in advance and to received time and location information.

Public bid openings occur at 2:30 PM CST on the due date applicable.
