for training and implementation specialist contracts for Best Practice.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS), has the need to hire specialists during Fiscal Year 2003, as defined.

Section A
Under the administrative direction of the program manager provides statewide classroom instruction to DCFS supervisors and staff on the Orientation to Best Practice, provides statewide classroom based training to POS and DCFS supervisors and staff on the fundamentals of best practice, must engage in all aspects of training child welfare staff including, internal consulting, program design and curriculum development, pilot testing, training of trainers, testing and evaluation; must serve as a liaison between DCFS Child Welfare Training Academy and other DCFS or POS administration, must be able to articulate training needs as identified during the course of training; experience using co-trainer model.

Section B
The best practice implementation specialist: Under the administrative direction of the program manager implements the paired team model of practice in DCFS''s Northern Region within the framework of standards for best practice. Develop and coordinate a training curriculum for direct service supervisors, site administrators and assistant regional administrative staff so as to reinforce implementation of Best Practice standards through the paired team model. Support best practice implementation through attendance and consultation at best practice training sessions as well as at the paired team sessions.
