This work includes, but is not limited to the following: the addition of two new electrical buildings to provide new electrical distribution as defined; provide buried utility tunnels between the new buildings and the existing; upgrade the existing Siemens Building Automation System (BAS) by selected field controller modifications and connecting the BAS to the campus ethernet; addition of Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) equipment to selected electrical panels in the main building; removal of existing emergency diesel generator (EDG) and addition of a new outdoor EDG.

This bid has modified specifications from a previous bid solicitation. The specifications and requirements have changed.
Mandatory pre-bid meeting
The university will hold a mandatory pre-bid meeting on February 8, 2008. Representatives will be present to answer questions. Prospective bidders must register in advance by calling Lisa at 708-534-4056. Bids submitted by bidders not in attendance at the mandatory conference will not be accepted.
If an additional meeting is required to accommodate tours and access to the facility, GSU and the engineer may schedule an additional mandatory meeting. This will be addressed in an amendment, if applicable.
THE MANDATORY PREBIDDER'S MEETING is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2008.
All responses must include:
- Submit 4 copies of the response as defined in the specifications.
- Sealed envelopes containing the bids have the bid number and project title on the envelope.
- Bid security (see complete bid for details).
- A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the performance and payment bonds.
