The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA)requires long-term program research and evaluation for the IMSA FUSION program to produce measurable impact and outcome data to demonstrate our return on investment for the State of Illinois and for our partner schools. IMSA FUSION reaches students and teachers in schools across the state and must have the capacity to show how our student enrichment is affecting student learning in math and science and how our professional development is affecting teacher growth in our partner schools. Program research and evaluation will help us improve our work with these important constituents, thereby improving the quality of the FUSION program. Ongoing and long-term study that runs the course of 5 years will help us track both students and teachers over a significant period of time to validate program effectiveness.. The resulting contract shall have an initial term of five (5) years.
