First published Friday, January 27, 2012
Project DescriptionIllinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from architectural or engineering firms interested in providing life-safety evaluation of the South Campus Residence Hall on the main campus. Illinois State University is considering changing the use of Atkins/Colby and Hamilton/ Whitten, both high rise dormitory buildings, to business use occupancy. This transition would involve renovation from current design to office space, conference room and classroom uses on multiple floors of the building. The purpose of the evaluation would be to identify required changes necessary to meet current codes appropriate for business use occupancy.
