Project Description
Illinois State University requests sealed bids for the Baseball Stadium Renovation project. The project consists of the demolition of the existing spectator facilities at Duffey Bass Baseball Field. To be constructed are new spectator facilities and baseball support facilities, consisting of public restrooms, ticket stand, concessions, and a press box facility. There are two alternates provided for, both being suites for hospitality. Site grading, utility relocation as it pertains to the new facilities and hardscape treatment for spectator seating and secure concourse. New dugouts will be constructed in relation to the existing field. The existing field will not be replaced, with minor modifications to suit the new spectator area.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on April 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Kaufmann Football Building Conference Room, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois 61790. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name is not on the log, your bid will not be opened.
Bid documents may be obtained at City Blue Technologies in Peoria, Illinois. Orders may be placed by phone: 309-676-6633, fax: 309-676-0502 or email: peoriaplots@citybluetech.com or at the following agencies; Greater Peoria Contractors, Peoria, Illinois; F.W. Dodge, Springfield, Illinois & Downers Grove, Illinois; Illowa, Rock Island, Illinois; TEAM of Central Illinois, Champaign, Illinois; and Reed Construction Data, Oak Brook, Illinois. There is a $100 refundable deposit for a copy of the bid documents. Bidding Documents will also be available in electronic form on compact disk (CD) in PC format from City Blue Technologies for a refundable deposit of $75. The bid documents or the CD must be returned to the location obtained in a satisfactory condition to receive a return of the deposit.
