The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the South Quad concrete walk replacement project.

This project involves the complete replacement of the sidewalk at the south end of the Quad leading to the College of Business building on the Illinois State University Campus.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked South Quad concrete walk replacement. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, December 8, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for December 1, 2004, 9:00 AM CST, at the Purchasing Office, 117 Hovey Hall, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
