The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests letters of interest and statements of qualification from Architects/Engineers to provide professional services for the following University projects:
Project One, Child Care Center
The University seeks an architectural firm to provide services of construction documentation and project manuals for a new Child Care Center on the grounds of Northeastern Illinois University. This project is not currently funded but dependent on successfully securing a grant which was submitted for consideration in November with awards expected no earlier than January 1, 2012. The grant requires the project to be shovel ready within 120 days of grant award.
Project Two, El Centro Facility
The University seeks an architectural firm to provide services of construction documentation and project manuals for an envisioned three story structure on a site that is currently under consideration by NEIU. This project will be funded through University debt and potential of tax increment financing. This project will not be administered by the Capital Development Board.

Northeastern Illinois University strongly supports the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities (MAFBE) in the implementation and execution of the Contract(s) resulting from this solicitation. The University desires participation either on a direct basis or though sub-contracting efforts.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Submitted 4 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
