This Professional and Artistic notice is published in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-35 and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2035(e) which allows professional and artistic contracts under $100,000 to be made in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-30(f) and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2020 (Small Purchases). The reason this purchase is exempt from the procurement code is as follows: The contracted services are professional and artistic in nature, requiring the full confidence, trust, and belief of Northeastern in the ability and talent of the firm performing the services.
Northeastern Illinois University, pursuant to the Illinois Procurement Code 30 ILCS 500/35-35, is giving notice of an exception from a Request for Proposal (RFP) procurement method for a contract of Professional and Artistic Services.
Contract: Dunn Law Firm, LLP for Legal Services related to immigration matters.
Exercise of the exception is appropriate as the contract is non-renewable, one year or less in duration and has a value of less than $100,000.
