Public Higher Education Bulletin

The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the a parking lot extension project (Bid # R21347).

This project includes removal of trees, earthwork, placement of geotextile fabric, placement of base, installation of curb and gutter, placement of bituminous asphalt, installation of concrete sidewalks, installation of a storm sewer system, installation of lighting, pavement striping, fence relocation and sign installation for the construction of a parking lot extension.

Bid documents will be available after Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Building H or call the Facilities Management office at 773/442-5230 to make arrangements.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked a parking lot extension. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:30 PM local time, on Monday, April 2, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on Monday, March 26, 2001, at 9:30 a.m. in Building H, Training Room. See www.neiu.edu for site location.
