The equipment being purchased is an upgrade to the University's HP8722D vector network analyzer, as well as a spectrum analyzer for radio frequency integrated circuit analysis, a semiconductor parameter analyzer, and a probe station for wafer and chip probing.
The University is purchasing this equipment as a sole source transaction due to Agilent Technologies being the sole manufacturer of the type of technology necessary to continue ongoing research within the electrical and computer engineering department.
