for new cab pickup truck.
Southern Illinois University Carbondale wishes to purchase one each new model year 2001 3/4 ton four-wheel drive extended cab pickup truck to meet the following minimum requirements:
- 157" wheel base, extended cab to seat six, automatic transmission, 4-speed with over drive and heavy duty cooler
- Heavy duty suspension, minumum payload range 4,000 pound, rear spring capacity minimum 6500 pound, front spring capacity minimum 2500 pound
- Automatic 4-wheel drive, power steering, air conditioning (factory installed), rear step bumper with 6,000 pound capacity, 400 pound toungue capacity
- Dual air bags, front power brakes, rear disc, 4-wheel ABS
- Daytime running lights, eight foot fleetside style bed, left and right exterior 6 x 9 rear view mirrors, AM/FM clock radio, V-8 gasoline engine, 302 cubic inch minimum, vinyl floor and seat covers
- Heavy duty high power alternator, 90 amp minimum, 30 gallon gas tank minimum, intermittent wipers, cruise control, (factory installed), and heavy duty battery
The unit must also be equipped with a class three hitch, and four pole trailer light wiring harness. The University is offering as a trade-in one 1984 Chevrolet Pickup truck, which may be inspected on site at the SIU Fisheries Research Center, Commonwealth Edison Nuclear Power Plant 22710, 206th Avenue North, Cordova, Illinois. The vehicle will be available for inspection 05 March 2001 between the hours of 9:00 am, and 3:00 pm. The contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof.
Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents.
Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office.
Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
