for a 2004 handicap equipped driver's education vehicle. The vehicle being requested is to be a new model year 2004 4-door sedan, Ford Taurus LX or University approved equal to meet the following specifications:

  • All equipment advertised as standard
  • Safety approach lights
  • Tinted glass all windows
  • Grocery bag hooks located in the trunk
  • 3.0 L 2V 6-cylinder flex fuel engine
  • Power adjustable accellerator and brake pedals
  • SE value package with 6-disc CD changer and power driver seat with lumbar support
  • 60/40 split fold rear seat
  • Side impact airbags
  • Traction control for inclement weather
  • Heated side view mirrors with puddle lamps
  • ABS 4-wheel anti-lock brakes
  • Daytime running lights
  • Cigarette lighter outlet for computer charging
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
