for pickup trucks and window hauling van (Bid # C56017-0010M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale wishes to purchase 3 new Model Year 2001 two-wheel drive 3/4 ton pickup trucks, and 1 3/4 ton window hauling van.

The successful bidder must meet the following minimum specifications for the pickup trucks: 133" wheel base (minimum), 8 cylinder 4.6L engine, GVWR-7600# (minimum), 4-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, speed control, power steering, air conditioning, front/rear anti-lock brakes, dual air bags, etc.

The successful bidder must meet the following minimum specifications for the window van: 4.2L V6 Engine, 127.6" wheel base minimum, windows all around, power steering/brakes air conditioning, front/rear anti-lock brakes, double cargo doors pull-out side and rear, automatic transmission w/ overdrive, outside rearview mirrors, right and left, 6" x 9" w/close-up backing mirrors.

The University also wishes to trade-in the following vehicles: 1 1987 Ford mid-size hauling van, 1 1987 GMC Pickup, and 2 1986 Chevrolet pickups. The trade-in vehicles may be inspected at the Travel Service Office on 11-20-00 between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. This purchase order may be split if it is deemed in the best interest of the University.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
