The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University hereby requests letters of interest from architects/engineers to provide professional services for the following University project:

Project Name:University Hall ? Asbestos Abatement Consultant
Project Budget: $500,000

Description of Project
Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking asbestos consultants to perform project design, project management, and air sampling for the asbestos abatement of the newly acquired University Hall. The consultant will be required to conduct asbestos services in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Only those firms, which meet the following qualifications, will be considered for selection:

  • Licensed to practice as an architect/engineer in the State of Illinois
  • Prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB)
The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the Consulting firms requesting consideration for selection:
  • Prior firm experience with similar projects
  • Appropriate staff size and disciplines
  • Prior performance of firm and its consultants with completed projects at Southern Illinois University and with other State Higher Educational Institutions
Consulting firms should submit six copies of their letter of interest, documentation of qualifications, and current CDB Form 255 by 3:30 p.m. on March 15, 2004 addressed to:
