The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the a relocatable classroom building project (Bid # E-13375-0271M).

Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids from a general contractor to furnish all labor, material and equipment for the construction and delivery of a modular unit to the Carbondale Glendale Headstart Facility. The work under this request includes, but shall not necessarily be limited to, the construction, delivery and set up of the modular building.

An award will be issued to the contractor submitting the lowest proposal which meets the intent of the bid documents.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, June 27, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A pre-bid meeting to discuss this project and view the site will be held at 10 a.m. CDST on June 19, 2001 at the Physical Plant Conference Room.
