Because of the low price offered by the lowest bidder, negotiations were made to purchase more units. Thus the total contract price is greater than the low bid submitted.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University is soliciting proposals for an audio visual equipment upgrade involving furnishing and installing specified systems in 21 auditoriums. Installation will be from mid May 2003 to mid August 2003, as the rooms are available between other commitments. There is a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and tour at the SIUC Lesar Law School auditorium, 8:00AM, March 6, 2003, with access to sites also available on March 7, 2003 by prior arrangement. An award will be based on the proposal judged to be the best at meeting specifications and requirements.
