The University awarded a contract for Dental Clinic Equipment.
SIUE is constructing a Dental Advanced Care Clinic located on the Alton campus of SIUE. Dental equipment and cabinetry will be purchased to be installed at this Clinic.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The equipment and cabinetry must match the existing components at the Alton, Edwardsville, and East St. Louis dental clinics to maintain continuity for the students' training.
