for architect/engineering firms interested in providing professional services for the Textbook Service Relocation project.
The Textbook Service operation is presently located in the basement of the University's library building. It provides textbook rental service to SIUE's undergraduate students. University officials wish to relocate the operation into a new facility dedicated solely for use as a textbook service facility. Firms interested in providing architectural/engineering services for this project should be prequalified with the Illinois Capital Development Board with an "Architecture" Trade code. Please address six copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to: Mary Robinson, Chair, A/E Selection Committee, Textbook Service Relocation Project, Morris University Center, Campus Box 1067, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1067.
The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: pre-qualification status, location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and its consultants with completed projects at Southern Illinois University and other clients; and current workload. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size, and capabilities of your firm and a list of the projects which demonstrate your experience with the kind of work we expect to undertake. For each project, indicate knowledgeable reference (name, address, and telephone number). Please indicate the firm's MAFBE status; the number of staff that will be assigned to this project; the total number of licensed staff to be assigned to this project; name, address, and MAFBE status of consulting firms, if any, and percent of work to be completed by consultants.
