Project Description
This project seeks on-site engineering services to design and manage small and large process, chemical, and mechanical engineering projects that arise unexpectedly and have a short window for execution at the SIUE National Corn to Ethanol Research Center. Firms interested in providing such services should submit a team that is able to provide architectural and engineering services, and be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board in all of the architectural/engineering disciplines.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statements of qualifications from Engineering firms interested in providing professional consulting services for Various SIUE Engineering Projects Related to the National Corn to Ethanol Research Center, SIUE.
The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms and/or teams requesting consideration for selection: pre-qualification status, location of firm within a two-hour radius, adequate staff size, appropriate disciplines, 10-15 years of engineering experience in process, chemical, and mechanical engineering, experience with other State projects, and current workloads. A program scope with potential projects is attached to this RFQ.
Please submit 6 copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to Mr. Richard Walker, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1158, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1158 or delivered to Rendleman Hall, Room 2228. There should be no communication with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number; and a copy of your CDB Pre-qualification Certificate. CDB 255 format is required.

  • Submitted 6 copies of their qualifications.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
