Terms: One-time transaction
Number of Unsuccessful, Responsive Respondents: 15
Comments:
The program, scope and budget developed by the original awardee prohibits SIUE from moving forward with a contract for a new construction project. The QBS process allows that if the Owner is unable to move forward with a contract with the firm that is most preferred, negotiations can begin with the firm that is next preferred.
This award corrects and replaces the award posted below on March 18, 2010.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

This project seeks architect services to develop program scope and budget and, if approved, plans to construct Special Interest Housing on the Edwardsville campus. Plans will look at designs and costs for expanding housing to include a special interest facility for groups of similar interests (e.g. Honor Students, Greeks, etc.). A working estimate has not been established.
Firms interested in providing such services should submit a team that is able to provide architectural and engineering services, and be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board in all of the architectural/engineering disciplines.
The following related criteria will be among those used to evaluate the firms and/or teams requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, staff size, related State experience, team structure, current workload, and history of accurate cost information. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of the submitting firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number). As a part of the submission, each team member company must include a copy of their CDB Pre-qualification Certificate and a copy of the CDB 255 form for the architect and the engineer.
Please submit six (6) copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to Mr. Richard Walker, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1158, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1158 or delivered to Rendleman Hall, Room 2228. To avoid disqualification, there should be no communication with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
