Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from Architect Consulting firms interested in providing professional consulting services for various small School of Medicine projects. The selected firm(s) would be used to design small projects that would be funded from appropriations or other University funds that arise unexpectedly and have a short window for execution. The Contract period would be from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2026.

Firms interested in providing such services should be a full-service architectural firm or team and pre-qualified with the Capital Development Board in all the architectural consulting disciplines. As part of the submission, each proposal should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the level of experience. For each project, indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address, telephone number and email) and a copy of your CDB Pre-Qualification Certificate. Faxed or electronic submittals will not be accepted.
Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted until 3:00 PM CST, Friday, May 20, 2022 at the address listed above. The firm must submit three (3) hard copies of the requested materials, UNBOUND, as well as two (2) USB flash drives, labeled with your firm name, containing all the information included in the hard copy submittals. Potential firms are urged to limit the number of pages in their submission emphasizing the quality of the submission rather than quantity. (No more than ten pages.)

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
- There is a 30 percent BEP goal for this procurement. See solicitation documentation for details.
- There is a 3 percent Small business goal for this procurement. Any vendor bidding as small business must be qualified State of Illinois registered small business.
- The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
