Work includes the cleaning of vertical risers and main horizontal duct work for air handlers per SIU Project #10016 & BRiC Project #2113-01.
Ventilation Contractor will be responsible for bidding and coordinating all work required on this project.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING/SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Lincoln Conference Room #2190 at 801 N. Rutledge, Springfield, IL. All prospective bidders are required to attend. Bidders will be required to sign in. Attendance is mandatory to submit a bid.
A Second Pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. for contractors (prospective sub-contractors) that attended the first Pre-bid meeting.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or to the project. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wages and shall utilize equal employment opportunity hiring practices in connection with this project. The University reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
All bidders must be fully pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB) throughout the entire bid, award, and construction process.A "pending status" is not acceptable.
Vendor please submit two (2) copies of your completed RFQ816 to the Purchasing Office.
Vendors must be registered with the State Board of Elections prior to bid opening AND provide a copy of the Registration Certificate with the bid to the Purchasing Office. There is NO grace period allowing for registration with the Board of Elections after bid opening. See Public Act 095-0971 for additional information.

This procurement will be contingent on Board of Trustees approval.
