The University awarded a contract for water pipe repair.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which immediate action was needed to prevent any disruption in University services.
On the afternoon of Friday August 3, 2012 the underground high temperature water piping began to leak from the 728 W. Roosevelt building. University Engineers were able to valve off to stop the leak. Mindful of the budget and week-end services a decision was made to wait until Monday August 6th to call the vendor Kroeschell Services Inc. This vendor is thoroughly familiar with water piping on the University campus and aware of all safety and permit requirements.
