The University awarded a contract for LabSystem PRO EP Recording System.
The LabSystem PRO EP Recording System is a microprocessor based data acquisition system that is used during EP procedures to acquire ECG, intracardiac, pressure, and digital data from other devices such as fluoroscopic systems and RF generators.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The aggregation of the EP data in real time, anywhere in the hospital and can compare that data to study data. This helps obtain more accurate and complete diagnoses. The information can be automatically compiled for insertion into a final clinical report.
