The University awarded a contract for reagents for COVID-19 testing.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which immediate action was needed to prevent any disruption in University services.
Fisher Scientific supplies regents for testing patients for COVID-19. The kit is used with ribonucleic acid (RNA a nucleic acid present in all living cells) a specimen is extracted from the patient through their upper respiratory (such as nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, nasal, and mid-turbinate swabs, and nasopharyngeal aspirate) and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider.
