The University awarded a contract for Membership & Measurement Tools to National Research Corporation (NRC), Lincoln, NE, for an estimated $220,000.
National Research Corporation (NRC)will provide as included in their membership services Marketing Assessment and Measurement Tools.
NRC is the largest patient satisfaction measurement firm in the U.S. according to Modern Healthcare, NRC therefore allows us to choose what specific areas we would be interested in measuring. With 900+ facilities using NRC, we can benchmark across locally, regionally, and nationally. We can compare facility and market specific metrics to uncover areas of opportunity. NRC has 250 Core Based Statistical Areas so we can measure across different areas of Chicago, Chicagoland, Illinois, and the United States. These measurements are done through surveys both through a panel and the web.
There is currently no organization providing any marketing measurement for UI Health, meaning key aspects of a good marketing/advertising campaign such as familiarity and awareness in the market are not benchmarked. Current advertising therefore is only being measured on a single measurement of utilization, meaning success is being based solely on how many people have used our services. If we do not measure these other areas, then we donâ??t know if our market share is expanding and UI Health is growing or our market share is shrinking but our patient numbers are remaining stagnant. The advertising mirrors the strategy, since we havenâ??t accurately measured the market, the success of the strategy isnâ??t being fully measured and the ROI isnâ??t complete. A successful organization must listen to its community and its market as much as it speaks to the market.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the Membership services and measurement tools.
