Unanticipated Covid assessment generated additional work and Gordian charged for additional invoices that raised the total operating cost. As a result of cost operations, we currently have an invoice in the amount of $111,295.17 of the $500,000 that will be paid under sole source #643JMG. The current sole source award #643JMG is for $500,000. To implement a resolution, Sole Source Award #643JMG will need to be increased from $500,000 to $990,000 to allow the processing of future invoices.

The University awarded a contract for Software and software consulting. to The Gordian Group, Mauldin, SC, for an estimated $500,000.
The Job Order Contracting program supports the campus $10,000,000-$20,000,000 small project construction needs. Projects range from facilities building and systems improvements, to supporting various college research and educational programs. This program, over the years, has made a mark in executing critical.
The university, on information and belief, has concluded that only one vendor can meet its need or can meet the need economically. That vendor is The Gordian Group, Inc. The university has provided detailed justification to support its conclusion as shown on the attached Sole Source Justification Form.
All sole source hearings under the jurisdiction of the Chief Procurement Officer for Higher Education will be conducted by tele-conference only until the in-person option is reinstated
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the procurement is software license, upgrade or maintenance.
