The University awarded a contract for PROVEO 8 F42 - Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope.
PROVEO 8 F42 - Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This microscope offers the following features that help surgeons perform surgeries efficiently and effectively: FusionOptics creates a high-contrast, detailed image with an expanded area in focus - surgeons see more detail without refocusing. CoAx 4 Illumination: four individual coaxial illumination beam paths from two LED lamps provide a stable red reflex for all observers throughout all steps of cataract surgery. All elements of the Proveo 8 interconnect and work in synchrony, allowing surgeons to work efficiently with fewer interruptions. Pre-define and program individual settings for each phase of both anterior and posterior procedures. Save all individual settings for up to 30 surgeons.
