for Construction Management Services for South Campus Mixed Use Development (Request # 698-704-04).

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby requests qualifications from Construction Managers to provide professional services in connection with the following two projects: 1. Convocation Center, including Dining and Kitchen Facility, Auditorium, and Retail and 2. Student Resident, including Retail and Office (Project No. 698-704-04 and 698-705-04).

Qualification requirements are: Qualified to practice as a Construction Manager in the State of Illinois, registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, and must have a working office in the State of Illinois.

The South Campus Development Team for the University of Illinois at Chicago has established a set of goals for extending contracting and employment opportunities generated by all development performed by the SCDT in the South Campus Development Project. The goals are to provide 45% of contracts to minority, women-owned, and local businesses, and 50% of employment opportunities to minorities, women, and local residents. These goals are developed in collaboration with advisory committee representing a cross section of the community.

An information packet consisting of important background information on the South Campus project master plan and MAFBE program guidelines should be obtained by calling the SCDT office at 312-355-0723 prior to preparing your reponse to this notice.
