The University awarded a contract for New England Journal of Medicine.
The Library is purchasing the New England Journal of Medicine from the Massachusetts Medical Society. The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) is a top-ranking medical journal that publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed content. It is widely used by clinicians to improve patient care at UIC.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental.
