The University awarded a contract for DiaSorin Liaison XL analyzers.
DiaSorin Liaison XL analyzers and the necessary reagents and supplies needed for their operation.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This will allow the UI Health Pathology Laboratories to provide automated tuberculosis testing for faster results for patients and community monitoring. It will improve turnaround times, save on labor, and bring testing which is currently sent out to other labs in house.
