The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Capital Scholars - Freshman/Sophomore Housing - Springfield.

Project Description
The project consists of a new three-story, 226-bed, 60,000 square foot residence hall, constructed of a brick veneer over concrete block, with pre-cast concrete floor decking.

Bid Proposals
Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, May 18, 2000, for Division II through Division VI work.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Monday, May 22, 2000, for Division I work. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Monday, May 22, 2000. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A pre-bid conference will be held on the campus of the University of Illinois at Springfield, Conference Room F, on the first level of the Public Affairs Center, at 10:30 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
