hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the
Relocation of State Survey's Pond and Adjacent Facilities at Urbana Campus project.
Project Description
The project consists of work at two sites and includes:
- Ponds Research: Construction of a single-story 2,380 square feet housing aquatic research and testing equipment, pump(s) for a ground water supply well, general office space, and miscellaneous storage; and 23 lined aquatic research ponds. Improvements to the sites include new sanitary sewer (including force mains), sanitary sewer lift stations, sanitary septic systems, water main, water supply wells, propane gas service, electrical service, site lighting, gravel parking, and perimeter fencing.

Wildlife Research: Construction of a single-story pole barn structure of approximately 2,380 square feet, including a wood-framed field office enclosure. A small wood frame with fabric enclosure aviary area is located on-site. Improvements to the site include sanitary septic system, watermain, propane gas service, electric service, site lighting, gravel parking, and perimeter fencing.
Bid Dates Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, January 29, 2002, for Division II - V work. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Thursday, January 31 2002, for Division I work. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room 504 of the Illini Union Bookstore, 807 S. Wright St., Champaign, at 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, January 22, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
