Description of Project
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) is presently undertaking cultural resource environmental compliance initiatives related its South Campus Expansion/Redevelopment Project. The subject IL HABS documentation will record contributing elements of the potentially National Register of Historic Places eligible South Farms Rural Landscape Historic District (SFRLHD). The goal of this project is to adequately research, prepare and present graphic and text documentation that will meet Illinois Historic American Building Survey/Historic American Engineering Record (IL HABS/HAER) Standards and Guidelines and be acceptable for accessioning into the Collection at the Illinois State Historical Library. This will be a multi-year project consisting of the initial production of a cover document. The cover document will consist of the presentation of pertinent historic context(s), general site description, and all other IL HABS/HAER Outline Format required sections accompanied by project area site plans and photographs. As development of the SFRLHD is undertaken, affected resources will be documented and submitted as addenda to the cover document.
The required modified Level II documentation will meet IL HABS/HAER Standards & Guidelines, and include, but not be limited to the following:
