The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Gregory Drive Dining Room Roof Replacement and Cooling Tower Removal at the Urbana Campus project.
Project Description
This project involves roof tear-off and replacement with fully-adhered single-ply-membrane system, including tapered rigid insulation and flashings for the area of approximately 230 squares as shown on the drawings for the Gregory Drive Residence Hall Dining Room Roof Replacement and Cooling Tower. The work includes the demolition and removal of existing cooling tower, supports, and associated mechanical and electrical work. Additionally, infill cooling tower exhaust openings with new decking and patch roof.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, April 17, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room #21, Lincoln Avenue Residence Hall, 1005 S. Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, IL at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, April 10, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
