The University wishes to lease Space for the University of Illinois Hospital. located at Chicago in the area described below for a period of 10 years. This property will be used for warehousing needs for UI Health.

The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is soliciting information from qualified respondents regarding the availability of leased space for the University of Illinois Hospital. This property will be used for warehousing needs for UI Health. The leased space must be located within Chicago, in the area bordered by I-55 to the south, Chicago Avenue to the north, I-90 to the east and Western Ave. to the west. The lease term is to be ten (10) years beginning February, 2022, with a right to terminate after the fifth year of the Lease.

The rentable area shall be approximately 28,000-40,000 useable square feet. The space requirements include parking for 4 employees, minimum ceiling height of 22, two truck docks dedicated to the leased space. Within the warehouse, approximately 10,000 square feet will be air conditioned/heated between 65 and 76 degrees at all times. There should be approximately 1,000 square feet as warehouse employee(s) office. All leased space must meet American with Disabilities Act requirements, Illinois Accessibility Code and other applicable local building requirements.

At the time it submits its response to this RFI, the respondent must certify that it is a properly formed and existing legal entity and, if applicable, has obtained an assumed name certificate from the appropriate authority, or has registered to conduct business in Illinois and is in good standing with the Illinois Secretary of State (30ILCS 500/1.15.80, 20-34.
