Project Description
This project will consist of the design and construction of a new east campus recreation facility and the renovation and addition to the existing west campus recreation facility. The new facility will include a natatorium, gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, handball and racquetball courts, climbing wall, sauna, locker rooms, wellness center, and departmental offices and other related spaces. The renovated west campus facility will include an addition for multipurpose rooms and upgrades to existing facilities.

Construction management scope of services required under this contract include, but are not limited to, program and budget review; analysis of staging and site mobilization; scheduling activities; document review and constructability; cost estimating; value engineering; life cycle and site logistic analysis; safety programs; quality assurance programs; procurement (including long lead items); prequalification and market availability; local unions and jurisdictional dispute settlement; cost and schedule management; document control; project closeout; building condition assessment studies; MAFBE goal attainment; and full project/construction management services. Construction management services for the West Campus facility may be limited to pre-construction services only.

Submittals
Firms should submit 3 copies of the following: letter of interest and a company brochure (prepared within the last six months) indicating the qualifications of the firm and the personnel proposed to be assigned to perform the services. The submission should include an organization chart and related information to clearly describe the key individuals and consultants proposed for the construction manager's team. Client and other project team references from similar projects should be included with the information submitted. Information is due by 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2002, addressed to:

Minimum Qualifications
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered for selection:

Qualified to practice as a construction manager in the State of Illinois
Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
Must have a working office in the State of Illinois
