Project Description
This is for Release 2 - Construction of a new 10-story, cast-in-place 332,000 S.F. College of Medicine Research Building (COMRB) for the University of Illinois at Chicago, modifications to adjacent buildings to facilitate the construction of and the connection to the new building, and the relocation and remodeling in adjacent facilities for existing operations.

Prequalification
The prequalification process begins with the prospective bidders' submittal of a Prequalification Application. Copies of the application may be obtained from Turner Construction Company (Construction Manager), 900 South Wolcott Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612 by sending a fax (312) 421-5491 expressing interest to the attention of: Mr. Kurt Landwehr, Engineer. The prequalification process will begin Monday, December 10, 2001. The prequalification deadline for bid group C is 12:00 noon prevailing time on Friday, March 1, 2002. Prequalification applications received after the deadline will be returned unopened to the applicant. Prequalification is only required of Prime Contractors.

Bid Documents
After the prequalification deadline, all those applicants who are prequalified for the project will be notified by the Construction Manager. Bid documents will be distributed by the Construction Manager to only those applicants who are prequalified.
