The Board of Trustees of U of Illinois Facilities Planning and Programs hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Warehouse One Replacement Facility - Phase I at Urbana.

Project Description
The project consists of a new 6,900 square foot pre-engineered metal building with partial brick veneer to house wind tunnel research. Work includes GWB partitions, insulation, suspended acoustic tile ceilings, ceramic walls and resilient floor tiles, toilet rooms and overhead doors. Plumbing includes above-ground polypropylene and cast iron piping. The heating and ventilation system consists of forced air HVAC system, new ductwork, exhaust fans and ductwork. Electrical to consist of new service, panels, raceways, cable trays, lightning protection and fire alarms. Telecommunication outlets will be incorporated as well as sprinkler system and lightning protection.

Bid Proposals
Bids for Divisions II through VI work will be received up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Bids for Division I work will be received up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Submit all proposals to the Board of Trustees at:

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will be held in Room B3 of the South Garage and Car Pool Facility, 1701 S. Oak Street, Champaign, IL 61820 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Thursday, November 21, 2002. Representatives of the owner and the architect/engineer will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.
