Project Description
UIC has approved funding Conceptualization for a project that will evaluate infrastructure improvement requirements in the building, focusing on the building envelope, HVAC and electrical systems. Other critical deficiencies may also be identified and addressed at that time. Funding has been approved for design work, with the expectation that the project will develop a prioritized scope of work and budget for required improvements. The Conceptualization will be then used to secure funding approval for subsequent construction. The Conceptualization Phase will determine the building design and will confirm the construction budget for the project. After a successful Conceptualization Phase, and following the University Board of Trustees approval, the Professional Services Consultant may be authorized to proceed with ensuing phase(s) of Design Development documents, Bid documents, Bid/Award, Construction Administration, and Warranty.

Project Location: UIC Building 916 - 1919 West Taylor Street, Chicago, Illinois
