Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is seeking a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) for the design, bid/award, and construction administration of a new egress tower addition at the Illini Union Levis Faculty Center. This new addition will be a fully enclosed, fire-rated and windowless exterior stairwell for the purpose of providing emergency egress from the second and fourth floors of the existing building. A code assessment will be required as part of this project. This addition will integrate aesthetically to the existing brick building built in 1970, designed by Harry Weese and Associates. All site related work such as pavement and landscaping are inclusive of the project. The University requests that the design team include a hazardous materials consultant, for design consultation, testing, and observation during construction.
