Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is seeking a professional services consultant team for the Memorial Stadium - SE Addition & Renovation project. The project will begin with the Schematic Design and Design Development Phases to better define the scope, schedule, cost and project delivery method. Following the Design Development Phase, the project will seek approval and a funding increase from the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. It is also the University's intent to utilize the same PSC firm for the remainder of the project for construction documents, bidding and construction administration professional services.

Memorial Stadium, built in 1923, rich in historic significance, is in need of infrastructure upgrades on the east side of the stadium which includes accessibility and amenity improvements as well as aesthetic updating of the finishes. A new football operations addition will also be constructed on the south end of the stadium to replace the existing "horseshoe seating". The Horseshoe, built in 1929, is antiquated and has serious structural, deferred maintenance, and functional issues that require it to be eliminated. The existing building is located at 1400 South First Street, Champaign, Illinois. Memorial Stadium is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
