The University is seeking a work of art which will enhance the new UIS Student Union Building, a structure intended to serve as a central hub of activity at the University. The core values of UIS include a teaching-focused academic experience, a collaborative spirit, a tight-knit supportive community and a tradition of educating public servants and leaders. The piece should embody these principles and serve as a focal point for the building and potentially the campus. The committee seeks a dynamic and nuanced work of art that will serve as a point of pride for the campus, engaging current and future students, community and University employees in the spirit of discovery.
