The University awarded a contract for Online Database Access to Chronicle of Higher Education, Baltimore, MD, for an estimated $200,000.
Online access to The Chronicle of Higher Education for the subscription period July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016 will allow continued access for current subscribers as well as new subscribers to these materials.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the The Chronicle of Higher Education may be available through other consortia. However, if CARLI were to contract with another consortia for this content, CARLI members would be required to pay a higher price plus an administrative surcharge (3% - 5%). In addition, to participate in other consortial database offerings may require individual membership fees from institutions. Contracting directly with The Chronicle of Higher Education will provide the lowest price possible to CARLI member libraries.
