The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive professional real estate advisory and facility planning services related to the potential relocation and expansion of the Illini Center, including the survey, review, analysis and assessment of programmatic needs, existing and potential location alternatives, transaction structure alternatives, and financial and market feasibility.
This initial analysis of a potential relocation and expansion of the University's presence in downtown Chicago is considered the planning phase. In the event the University elects to implement the plans, that action will be subject to an implementation phase RFP. It is anticipated that each of the two phase engagements will be independent of one another, except that the deliverable plans of the initial phase will serve as guidance for the implementation phase. Objective advisory consulting will be emphasized in the initial planning phase and proposed fee structure should not be coupled to the prospects of engagement in the succeeding implementation stage.
